Why do I do Pilates? It’s like a weekly immersion in WD40! I have been doing matwork with Bungie for six years now.  When I’m doing Pilates I feel my body and mind feels relax and I feel happier. Her classes differ from week to week so even after going for so many years it doesn’t get boring!  Bungie’s constant pointers and cues help us refine our positions to get the most from every movement.  The more I put in, the more I get out of the work and I can feel the difference.  That is why it is so satisfying!

I had done private one to one classes for several years. During lockdown I wanted to keep going with Pilates. Switching to a group class online has been effortless. I have found Bungie so welcoming and engaging that it has been easy to become one of her students. I have really enjoyed doing a wider range of exercises than perhaps I would have done in a private session more tailored to me. That has had the effect of pushing me to do planks and push ups which I might have been nervous of. Perhaps being alone at home removes inhibitions so there is at least that plus-side to being online. I have not had any injuries or even tweaks despite doing a range of exercises without physical supervision. This is due to Bungie’s expertise and understanding of the body and exercises. Each area is warmed up, worked and then stretched. She has a very clear way of describing the movements which is also funny and creates a clear image so you can easily picture how to hold the pose or move. She always seems to remind you to engage or relax the one muscle you were doing the opposite with just at the critical moment. So this has really been a wonderful boost during lockdown and I hope the online class will continue even when all the restrictions are lifted!

I love Bungie’s Pilates classes – they are always uplifting, entertaining and fun as well as wonderful exercise for core strengthening to boot! I started doing her mat work classes in person a few years ago and continue now that they have had to be moved to Zoom online due to Covid-19 virus restrictions. It is definitely different not being all together as a class but Bungie manages perfectly keeping the workout fun and hard work, whilst providing balance and solace. She takes such care, making sure aches and pains are listened to by offering alternative exercises when one move isn’t suitable for a particular pupil’s pain/injury.  Bungie is very experienced and knowledgeable and is able to describe brilliantly how to do each move.

When I moved to Wiltshire I was worried I wouldn’t find a Pilates teacher who would understand my myriad of past injuries and also help me maintain the core strength I had spent years building up in London.  I found Bungie through the Pilates Foundation website and I couldn’t be happier.  She is an absolutely brilliant instructor in both mat work and apparatus. Her knowledge of Pilates and how to apply the principles to each individual she teaches is incredibly extensive. If you’re looking to do Pilates I can not recommend Bungie highly enough.

I thoroughly enjoyed Bungie’s post natal Pilates class in Hungerford this morning. I have only done Pilates twice before but found her calm, inviting and friendly manner relaxing. Bungie is very knowledgeable and explained every movement with precise detail. It has helped with my understanding of how our bodies recover after having a baby. I am a massive fan of Bungie’s Pilates classes. She is a brilliant teacher and is very much missed in Shepherds Bush. She’s warm, friendly and very kind. She manages to create a relaxed and easy environment while teaching complicated Pilates techniques. She is very clear in her teaching and is fantastic at checking your posture and making you feel 100 per cent better after her class than you walked in. I was always aware of my shoulders no longer being ‘like earrings’ as I walked home having let go of the stresses of the week.
I would highly recommend Bungie as a teacher and she is a thoroughly lovely person too. I went to her over a period of ten years – before, during and after my third pregnancy, and I credit her for getting me out of elasticated waists and back in to my jeans!

None has come anywhere near Bungie Snow in their knowledge, attention to and prevention of injuries, respect and encouragement for post-natal recovery, and overall professionalism. I have attended Bungie’s Pilates class for ten years and am devastated that she is moving out of London.  She is an excellent teacher and practitioner and she really understands how the body works.  She listens to your needs and develops exercises that suit you and ones to strengthen, tone and keep you fit.  As a gardener, Pilates really helps me stretch, and build core strength in my tummy and back, as well as tone my arms and legs.  Her class was a lovely de-stressor at the end of the week.  I will be here waiting to resume our classes if she decides to come back!

Bungie literally saved my life after I slipped a disc. I needed to strengthen my core, but was scared to injure myself. Her bespoke teaching made me feel safe and her positive, bright personality made it fun.  She taught me throughout two pregnancies and after both, and my back was stable throughout.  Bungie is more than a Pilates teacher, she helped me build up my physical strength, which gave me back self confidence and today Pilates is an innate part of my daily routine.

Learning Pilates with Bungie was a life-changing experience.  Having never understood the practise of Pilates, Bungie explained every movement with such clarity and thought that you soon became completely absorbed in what you were doing and for an hour, focussed on nothing else but your own body.  Practising with her has completely changed my body shape and for the first time this summer I was not ashamed to wear a bikini aged 42 and after three large babies.  Her combination of precise, focussed, knowledgeable teaching delivered in a calm, spiritual way leaves you feeling calm and relaxed yet like you’ve worked incredibly hard.   My core strength has never been so good and my body feels fitter and stronger than ever before.  Moving to the country, one of the hardest things was leaving my amazing teacher – I highly recommend her to any stressed and busy mum out there!
